A genuine partnership  between doctor and patients is the key feature of patient-centredness. We have shown that it best way to continuously improve a service is when doctors, patients and carers work together as a team. NRAC’s philosophy of total user engagement was described by the NHS’s quality auditors as, “something from which the rest of the NHS could learn.”
